Food, Inc – This is a great film about the food industry in the USA

Vegucated – This film follows three people who try out a vegan lifestyle for 6 weeks and covers quite a lot including health, animal welfare and the environment

Tapped – Documentary about bottled water and the harmful effects it has on both our health and the planet.

Forks Over Knives – Another American film on the health crisis and the benefits of altering your diet.

I Bought A Rainforest – Three part series documenting a wildlife photographers journey after he buys 100 acres of rainforest in Peru.

BOOKS

The End of the Line: How Overfishing Is Changing The World And What We Eat, Charles Clover – A very informative and interesting book on overfishing.

The Rough Guide To Green Living – An easy to read book on tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint.

Foraging, David Squire – Great book which teaches you all about edible plants, wild fruits, nuts.. Where to find, what to look for and how to use.

Plenty, Yotam Ottolenghi – Vegetarian recipe book which can be enjoyed by even the most hardcore meat eaters.

River Cafe Cookbook Green, Rose Gray and Ruth Rodgers – This book isn’t strictly vegetarian as there are a few bits with meat and fish, but the emphasis is on seasonal produce and the recipes can be easily adapted to be veg friendly.
